Thanks to everyone who has been a faithful reader. After much thought, I've decided that it's way too hard for me to keep up both blogs. So I am going to be ending Pick Your Poison and combining it with my regular blog. One day a week I'll post the topic for you all to enjoy and hopefully lose your lunch.

There may be some of you that like these items...but for the masses, what would you rather eat cold without anything with it:

Tripe :Beef tripe is usually made from only the first three of a cow's four stomach chambers. For human consumption tripe must be washed and meticulously cleaned. It is called green, although its colour is often brown or grey, because of its high chlorophyll content from undigested grass.

Head Cheese : is in fact not a cheese, but rather a terrine of meat from the head of a calf or pig (sometimes a sheep or cow). It may also include meat from the feet and heart. It is usually eaten cold or at room temperature as a luncheon meat.

Historically the cleaned (all organs removed) head was simmered to produce a gelatin (formed from the collagen in the bone) containing any incidental meat which came off the head. The more modern method involves adding gelatin to meat, which is then cooked in a mould.

I must preface this with a story. 15 years ago, my cousin used to work at a Chinese restaurant for about 2 weeks. He was walking into the kitchen when he saw one of the Chinese women with her bare feet on the counter of the kitchen. She was cleaning the toe jams out of her toes with her bare hands. She then immediately stuck her hands in a pot of noodles and began mixing them together.

So here's my question:

Would you rather eat food after watching someone mix their toejam into it.

Always find a random hair in your food everywhere you ate?

Blogging Elephant Report

So today I received my Blogging Elephant from Amy. WOW! A petrified trout! I carbon dated this and found that is in fact prehistoric in nature and dates back to 3,000,000 B.C.!!! It has been carefully mounted upon a coat rack piece of petrified Redwood. VERY COOL! The fishy smell has all been removed, but the colors have been preserved as if the fish was caught just 3 hours ago. It has already been made to use in my 'Man Garage' and hold tools and other 'Man' items. I've decided to name this fish Herbert because if he had a name back then, I'm sure that's what it would have been. So thanks Amy for Herbert, he feels quite at home now. :)

It's common knowledge for those who know me that I will NEVER use a public restroom unless it is of an extreme emergency. In my life, there have only been 3. Lindsey makes fun of me because she thinks that is weird.

It's also well known that I am scared of ghosts. My mom raised me by telling me stories of spirits touching her, running through graveyards and other horror stories that can completely ruin a childs mind. So below are my own 2 worst things imaginable:

So the boogar/puss blog was by far the sickest. Now that you've seen it, nothing else will gross you out. :)

So here are the rules to the Blogging Elephants for all of you who are going to participate.

You must have your gift picked out and wrapped by the 15th.
You CANNOT buy anything.
It must be something you already have in your house.
You must create a vague, riddle like description for your gift.
Your gift should be posted on your blog on the 15th.

So there are a few ways to do this. Give me your input on what you think would be the best:

I will generate a randomized list. Once the gifts are up on the blogs, everyone will have 1 day to view and look at all the gifts. Then we will go in order of the list and the first person will choose which gift they want to take. Once the gifts are all taken, you exchange emails and addresses and the gifts are sent. Once you get your gift, you must blog what you received.

The other variation is that each gift can be passed twice. This means that if someone takes Lindsey's gift, 2 other people may steal it if they so wish. Once it has been stolen the second time, the gift is dead and belongs to that person. All this will be posted in the blog. (Smack talk is allowed)

If you have any other ideas on how to do this and/or make it better, let's hear it. I've never done this online before.

I'm taking a quick break today on the regular routine because I have thought up a wonderful Christmas time tradition. I call it the Blogging Elephant Gifts. We all know how White Elephants work, so I'm proposing that everyone who reads this and anyone you want in on this, wrap up a white elephant gift and take a picture of it and throw it on your blog. You create a puzzling title for your gift since we cant be there to shake and feel the actual present. Then we will randomize a list and go down the line and everyone gets to choose who's gift they would like to take. After they have all been taken, we mail each other our Blogging Elephants. We keep the gifts small so they fit inside a tiny box so shipping is cheap. Then after we all get our gifts, we blog again and show the picture of what we got.

So fellow farters, out here we have an Ice Cream place called Cold Stone...perhaps the rest of the coutry does as well, I just dont know if all of you have been there.
